HardCard Terms and Conditions
By using or registering your HardCard you agree to these terms and conditions. If you have any questions about your HardCard email us at hardcard@ucsa.canterbury.ac.nz.
Ownership of your HardCard
Your HardCard and card number are the property of the University of Canterbury Students’ Association (“UCSA”). You must not copy or reproduce your HardCard.
Activate your HardCard and privacy statement
Activate your HardCard by logging on at www.hardcard.co.nz and filling in your details. Personal information provided during registration may be used for future marketing purposes by the UCSA and its advertising agencies. Any enquiries regarding this information should be directed to Communications Manager, University of Canterbury Students’ Association, 90 Ilam Road, Christchurch. Nature of your HardCard
Your HardCard can be used to receive discounts at participating members place of business. Your HardCard is not a credit or charge card and discounts or deals given by participating members cannot be exchanged for cash.
Using your HardCard
Your HardCard should be swiped every time you make a purchase at The Foundry. You will not be required to swipe your HardCard at the place of business of any other participating partner or supporter. Information regarding your HardCard
Registered HardCard members can enter and update personal details by logging on at www.hardcard.co.nz.
In regards to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), the UCSA reserves the right to vary, suspend, modify or terminate these Terms at any time without prior notice. Please check for any changes from time to time as your continued use of the site signifies your acceptance of any changed items. Any changes to these Terms will be posted on www.hardcard.co.nz. While we make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and timely information on this site, you should not assume that the information provided is always up to date or that this site contains all the relevant information available.
Lost and/or stolen HardCard
If your HardCard is lost or stolen a replacement card can be picked up and registered at the UCSA reception. The UCSA reception is located upstairs at the UCSA building. Click here for a location map. There will be a $5 charge for a replacement HardCard.
No sale/conversion
You cannot and must not sell or convert your HardCard into cash.
New Zealand only
Your HardCard can only be used at participating members’ place of business in New Zealand.
Privacy Statement
Personal information provided during registration may be used for future marketing purposes by the UCSA and its advertising agencies. We do not guarantee the functions contained in the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that this Site or its server will be free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected even if we are aware of them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we, the UCSA, will not be liable for:
- any delay in replacing your HardCard.
- any unauthorised use of your HardCard.
- any failure to notify you of any changes in these Terms.
Personal use
Your use of the HardCard and materials included on this site is for informational purposes only. You agree you will not distribute, publish, transmit, modify, display or create derivative works from or exploit the contents of this site in any way. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the UCSA for any and all unauthorised uses you may make of any material on the site. You acknowledge the unauthorised use of the contents could cause irreparable harm to the UCSA and that in the event of an unauthorised use the UCSA shall be entitled to an injunction in addition to any other remedies available at law or in equity.
Feedback and Submissions
You agree you are and shall remain solely responsible for the contents of any submissions you make, and you will not submit material that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive or obscene. You agree that you will not submit anything to the site that will violate any right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy or other personal or proprietary right(s).
